The Soft Throat of Justice

Christine Ray

Brave & Reckless

Torches carried
in angry fists
swallowed the light
burned away  the oxygen
created a vacuum
in a night gone chill
like the blood in my veins
at the soulless eyes
of angry vipers
hissing hatred
spitting venom
fangs extended
salivating in anticipation
of tearing out the throat
of justice
