By Her Implore- Max Meunier

even in this wintry wake

she whispers words untrue

still, i can see

far beyond the walls

where once i knew her

waging wars

within her arms

i could not walk away

beholden

to the fragile child

who wept

in shades of fury

these preambles never fade

from light

found in the aftermath

branded by the searing touch

of cruxes

born to bear

no more

do i hear my own voice

echoing

through time’s collapse

having been eclipsed

by her implore

Max states: “I write about the things going on in my life. I am a feminist, humanist, cat loving musician bound by whimsy and the incessant analysis of hyper-vigilant observations. I am obsessed with words and rhythmically woven wordplay.” We are honored to have him as a member of our tribe. He writes at Max Meunier

    1. thank you, oldepunk. i write a lot of silly, arbitrary, and superfluous poems based in emotional and existential futility. but once in a while, i can’t help but write the reality of my sorrow. thank you for being so conscientiously attuned to such expressions. your intuition and wisdom are highly refined, and your heart is as open as the skies beholding wonder. oh, snappies! i just found several epic signs today at the dig site. i found several studebaker rd.’s along with a whole slew of recent additions. there must be some names that would be relevant to SD in one way or another. i kinda want to figure what might be suitable, and send it to the SD headquarters as a sort of mini tribute. SD should have a reliquary of sorts. maybe it’s a bit far-fetched, but i kinda dig such things. i’ll send you my latest list. i guess i have become an antiques dealer of sorts over the past few months. pardon my superfluous and meandering response. i’m just glad i was able to communicate, albeit in this awkward presentation lol. *hides under nearby kitten*

      1. you’re welcome Max. Kindred souls speak a similar language, no? The signs are really cool.
Would love to see the new list! Jasper and Rick would appreciate them I think. An SD reliquary would be kick ass; we should figure out how to start one. Hope you are well buddy. take care of yourself

    1. i love this compliment! i can only hope to live up to it. thank you for your kind words and consideration. i must show my appreciation through conscientious participation with everyone. if there’s any reason to try to overcome my severe avoidant issues, it’s the shared love and support fostered by everyone at SD.
