Bellyful – Kindra M. Austin

Excuse my protrusion; I suffer intrusion

of demons mine, and yours forced between my teeth.

I masticate while you masturbate;

fun to watch me swallow, innit?

Pour a stiff drink,

something acetic

make my stomach into plastic

lined landfill, non-biodegradable.

I’ll die bloated with a bellyful of demons,

  1. Oh my god, I don’t know what I can say that hasn’t already been said, but girl you are a STORM! I reread this time upon time, my mouth wide open. Particularly the line: “I masticate while you masturbate” …. I can’t even… genius! ❤ Omfg, I gotta go cool down after this experience D:

  2. I’m so glad you’re up there leading the way for me and others. Not up ahead on the road. Up THERE, in the air, floating above me. Definitely. You make me want to take my writing to a higher level, not just a different one like I’ve been doing.

    1. Jesus, balls, Mr. Clever, this is the BEST comment I have ever received, be it here on SD, or on my personal blog. I’m kind of gobsmacked right now. I admire you–I’ve been admiring you for a long fucking time, and what you’ve just said about me had given me goose flesh. I can’t thank you enough for your kindness, your friendship, and your inspiration. Because you DO inspire me. You’re among my heroes, and I love you. ❤

    1. Charlie, you blow my mind with your word puzzles–your uniquely brilliant poetry. I know you have a stunning soul, and I appreciate you as a writer, but also as a friend. Thank you so much for all of your kindness and encouragement. ❤

      1. I wish that too. But, I know there’s people out there like me. There just hiding, or who knows what they are doing. I can say the same about you. We need more kind and sweet spirited people like you Kindra. You bring joy into this world and in my world as well. Many blessings…and may peace always guide you and kindness be with you. 🙂

      1. I don’t ask for much, so having you light up my life seems quite reasonable! I have a feeling we would have great abs from laughing so much, which would trigger a flare of our douche-bag disorders, then we could recover on the couch binge watching Seinfeld re-runs.

      1. As I type this while a toddler screams “I WANT THE PHONE!” (Because she has flash cards on here.) I am moved. I’d love to add more thoughtful devotions and praises of your character, but she’s still saying it. Over and over. I look forward to our project!!🖤🖤🖤🎃🎃🎃
